Ari Shemesh, Reporter

A junior at John Adams High School, Ari Shemesh decided that he wanted to become a reporter for The Tower. Since first hearing about the class last year, Ari had been excitedly waiting to start writing. He feels most drawn to Newspaper because he has always enjoyed sharing his opinions. Ari has spent a lot of time volunteering at the Jewish Federation, and has also recently been accepted into Youth Leadership. He enjoys watching sports, and has played many. However, Ari specifically found a passion for tennis which began in 7th grade. He’s played tennis for all three of his years in high school. As both of his parents are in the medical field Ari has always dreamt of being a doctor, specifically a pediatrician. He likes to make a lot of jokes, even when it may not be a good time for one. His parents have even said that they, “never know when to take him seriously.” Ari is most proud of himself for a tennis match that he had played last year, where he was down multiple games in the last set and came back to win. He also likes to think back to when he got his scuba diving certification and went zip-lining with his family, despite originally being scared of both. Generally, Ari likes to play video games, watch movies, and watch and/or play sports with his family and friends. But he also loves going to an overnight camp during summer break. Ari is very excited to start writing for The Tower, and hopes to finish the year with more reads than Isaac Shrader.
