Anna Rosato is a John Adams full-International Baccalaureate senior and athlete. Throughout her time at John Adams, she has participated in varsity soccer, varsity quiz bowl, French club, and is the secretary of the National Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, exercising, traveling, and walking her dog, Champion. Anna was also recently recognized as a National Merit semifinalist for her performance on the PSAT/NMSQT.

Outside of school, Anna’s primary focus is soccer. She has played travel soccer for ten years but has played soccer for fifteen years in total. She currently plays with Midwest United FC in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the elite clubs’ national league level—the highest division for girls’ soccer in the United States. Anna has verbally committed to play soccer at Washington University in St. Louis after she graduates from John Adams. She is looking forward to exploring the college of arts and sciences at Wash U and chasing down another national championship with the soccer team.

Another one of Anna’s interests is Italian language and literature. Anna has devoted much of her free time to becoming a fluent Italian speaker, as well as gaining an appreciation of Italian culture through her family. The Adams IB program has allowed her to pursue this interest with SSSTSL (School-Supported Self-Taught Language A), an IB class in which Anna independently reads and analyzes important works of Italian literature.

This school year, Anna is looking forward to earning her IB bilingual diploma in English and Italian literature, competing with the quiz bowl team, and hopefully going to the national championships with Midwest United FC in June. Anna’s favorite classes are IB HL History of the Americas with Mr. Cline and AP Calculus with Mr. Bart.

If Anna could give any advice to underclassmen, she would suggest that they, “work hard, challenge yourself, be open to trying new things, and appreciate the teachers and staff.” Anna is thrilled to have the opportunity to graduate from Adams this coming spring and looks forward to the future ahead.
