Elise Bulaoro, Reporter

Elise Bulaoro is a compassionate, ambitious, and driven person. She is goal-oriented, and values education, happiness, and relationships with friends and family. A good friend of Elise’s describes her as, “majorly competitive, but also sweet, compassionate, funny, and intelligent.” Although she isn’t completely sure what she wants to do in the future, she works hard so that she can have as many options and opportunities as possible. While she has many academic goals, she also keeps a detailed bucket list on her iPhone notes app (which she frequently uses more than anything else). The top of her bucket list includes: surfing, riding in a helicopter, and learning how to salsa.

This year Elise is a junior, and is taking a mix of IB and AP classes. She has achieved straight A’s all throughout high school, while playing soccer for both her travel team and the John Adams Girl’s Varsity soccer team. During her childhood, she was also an accomplished softball player. Two of the biggest milestones in her life include her travels to France and England, and her quitting softball to play soccer. Getting her license was another huge milestone, and her parents recently bought her a used car, which she named Dwayne.

She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and has an older brother named Richard. He left for college this summer, so Elise is very excited to not have to share a bathroom with him or fight over the tv anymore. She has two golden retrievers, named Belle and Charles. They are a huge part of her life, as well as her camera roll.

Elise is excited for her junior year and the new memories she will make and wants to make the best out of the rest of her time in high school.
