Zachary Richardson, best known as Zac, a talented student and friend to many at John Adams High School is paving the road for an exciting senior year and a bright future. For Zac, his senior year promises a lot of fun and leisure since he has completed the rigorous and required classes in previous years.
Zac is a partial IB (International Baccalaureate) student and involved in a plethora of clubs. This year, he is a part of many clubs including chess club, quiz bowl, model UN, Spanish club, show choir, swim team and the golf team.
Out of all of the activities Zac participates in, his favorite is the swim team. This year, he hopes to become co-captain alongside captain Isaac Shrader. “It’s a good group,” Zac said. “It’s not a lot of guys, [but] we have fun.”
Amongst the classes Zac has taken throughout highschool, his favorite is chemistry. “I really loved my chemistry class; I just had a lot of cool people in that class,” Zac said.
Outside of school, his hobbies include reading, taking walks, along with singing and dancing in preparation for show choir. Currently, Zac and the rest of the show choir are preparing for their upcoming musical, Anasthasia. Zac is casted as the major part of Vlad.
After high school, Zac plans to attend college within Indiana: Indiana University or Ball State University. His advice to underclassmen is for them to, “do your best, get the important stuff done. Get it done first so you don’t have to do it later.”
As a final piece of advice, Zac says, “I recall Robert Downey Jr. once said, ‘once you’ve hit rock bottom, the only place you can go is up.’”
