Night of the Arts: An Evening Full of Fun and Charity
John Adams High School’s annual Night of the Arts is taking place in just over a week, on April 27th, at 6pm. You can expect food, games, and many different art forms, from paintings to music and anything else you can imagine! Students can buy presale tickets for just $5 at lunch the week before the event or buy them for $7 at the door. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and go and support your community and your friends who are aspiring artist! While on the topic of supporting the community, as this even is hosted by the National Honors Society chapter here at Adams, all the proceeds will be donated to La Casa de Amistad.
La Casa de Amistad is a charity organization in South Bend that does a lot for the hispanic community in the area. It was founded to help meet the many needs of hispanic teenagers. Since then they have expanded their programs to adults and their families, providing many different skills that are needed to keep up in jobs or school. They also have programs to help individuals pass their citizenship exams, learn english in a non-stressful environment, and gain skills regarding technology that can be ever so useful for getting jobs in the community. To learn more or donate, visit http://www.lacasadeamistad.org/about/ .
Even if the charity aspect of this event does not excite you, this is one of the most fun events hosted at Adams because of the wide variety of entertainment available. The greatest part of this event is that there is something for all ages, from games and arts and crafts for young children to student bands for high schoolers there is something here for everyone. So mark April 27th on your calendars and come to Adams ready for a Night of the Arts!
Your donation will support the student journalists of The Tower and John Adams High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
