The school year of 2024-2025 has been a whirlwind of a senior year. I’ve made so many friends and done so much that was out of my comfort zone. At the beginning of the year, I was able to apply and enter the 2024 fall homecoming court, something I would never have done if I didn’t have wonderful people rooting for me to just do it. I feel like I’m very shy when it comes to being in front of a lot of people, as performance anxiety has plagued me since I was young. I also joined a club that I never thought that I would enjoy, but I ended up making a lot of friends and having a lot of fun. I myself am not super inclined to be drawn towards things like engineering and math, as I tend to lean towards more science and art related subjects, but I found a perfect place on our school’s robotics team. It is full of wonderful people who really care for each other and I really could not be more grateful for them.
The classes I took in 2024-2025 were pretty good, even though some of them were intensive, I still was able to thoroughly enjoy them and the teachers that taught them. This year I feel like I got along with all of my teachers and although I don’t have straight A’s (and I’m going through senioritis right now) I think I did pretty well for myself. This year I’ve written a lot about things that I’m passionate about, and you can see my changing interests throughout the articles I have written.
After I graduate, I plan on going to the University of Maine to study Marine Sciences and Zoology. Going so far away is a little anxiety inducing but it is also super exciting, as I will be able to study what I want to. I am so grateful for everyone I met during high school that I get the privilege to call my friends. Thank you to the staff and the students for giving me such a great high school experience, I will miss you all. Goodbye!
