Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss out on what is happening on Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2025! The Mental Health Club is inviting you to their Mental Health Day, starring Notre Dame student athletes as guest speakers and a multitude of exciting activities during A, B and C lunches.
During 2nd and 3rd hour, your teachers are able to sign up to take your class to the auditorium where the student athletes will be speaking as a panel, opening up questions to the audience as they go along. The Mental Health Club board will be moderating the panel and asking speakers to share about topics such as their experience transitioning from high school to college, how they balance their busy schedules, what mental health services may look like on a college campus and so much more.
After the speakers depart and the lunches begin, students and faculty are welcome to come into the auditorium to participate in the fun activities the club came up with. As you have walked to your classes lately, you may have noticed some flyers in the hallway, detailing the list of activities and a special prize. These activities will include coloring, “Just Dance,” Play-Doh stress balls, self-care kits, bracelet making, spin the wheel, a photo wall, mindfulness activities and the John Adams Service dogs, Sierra, Sadie and Skye. Additionally, the club has invited over ten vendors to come and set up tables to talk to students about different services and other mental health related topics. Once you enter the auditorium, you will receive a small sheet of paper to keep with you as you move through the tables. Each table will have one to two members of the Mental Health Club helping you out or explaining an activity. Once you have completed an activity, give your paper to a member of the club and they will place a sticker on it. Each table has a different color sticker and if you complete 3 activities and talk to 3 vendors, you will be able to enter the raffle! The raffle prize contains a gift card, Mental Health Club t-shirt and a swag bag from the Mental Health Summit that was held in November. The winner of the raffle will be announced the following day!
The Mental Health Club has worked very hard on putting together this event over the past two months. After countless work days inside and outside of school and a whole lot of stress and anxiety, the members are extremely excited to bring this event to life. Please stop by on Tuesday, Apr. 1 and support the club by participating in the activities. We can’t wait to see you all there!!
