There’s a lot of seniors at John Adams High School this year, and the class of 2025 has made a significant impact on the JAHS community already. But who are these seniors? Well, I’m going to tell you about one specific senior who is amazing! This senior is… drumroll please… Lilly Brewer!
On Aug. 9, 2006, Lillian Marie Brewer was born. She spent her first few years at home before enrolling in Saint Joseph Grade School. Lilly was there for nine years before she entered high school at the one and only JAHS. From that day forward, she has seemed to experience high school life to the fullest. Lilly joined the John Adams Choir her freshman year and really enjoyed her time there. But, in her sophomore year, she wanted to further her singing abilities and improve her dancing skills. So she auditioned for the Show Choir and made it! She has been a crucial part of the John Adams Show Choir ever since. From having ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) ensembles named after her, to becoming a soprano section leader, Lilly has made a lasting impact on the Show Choir. Lilly was also a member of the drama club during her freshman year only. Her roles were Irene in the play, My Man Godfrey, and Leeane in Puffs. She then went on to perform in the musical, The Little Mermaid Jr., as Flounder. Lilly was also the director of the musical production of Anastasia in her junior year.
Another extracurricular activity that Lilly participates in is tennis. She has been on the team for three years and will definitely make it again come spring. She has moved her way up the ladder to varsity and is predicted to sit at No. 1 Singles this upcoming season. When asked about her tennis team experience, she stated: “It [the team] is overall a really great and welcoming community that I’m so lucky to be a part of.” Lilly has also worked as a tennis coach for the past three summers at the PAL (Police Athletic League) tennis camp. Lilly has also been a member of the ski club since last year.
In addition to these extracurriculars, Lilly is a full I.B. student and is part of NHS (National Honor Society). Due to these commitments, she has rigorous coursework to maintain her good grades and likability for colleges. Lilly doesn’t quite know what she wants to pursue in college. But she knows that she wants to help people! We know that Lilly Brewer will go on to great things and finish her high school career with a lasting impression on John Adams!
