The MLB will be a lot different this year especially with all of the trades that happened in the off-season. Spring training is coming up soon and that will give us our first look at how these teams might be during the regular season. Star outfielder Mookie Betts and Left handed pitcher David Price were traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. As of right now the Dodgers are the favorite to win the World Series especially with their two new additions to the team. With the Dodgers already having 4 all stars the addition of two more will make them a powerhouse.

The NL Central is the division to watch in the National League. The Cardinals are looking like they should win the division again this year, unless the Cubs can build up their bullpen and not give up the lead late in games. The Brewers who played extremely well last year, have Christian Yelich who had the best season of his career and was an MVP candidate last season. The Reds have picked up some key players that they needed to help build their roster. They are also coming off six straight losing seasons, they might not be good this year but are definitely a team to watch out for in the future. The Pirates have traded away everybody and are in a rebuilding phase so don’t expect much from them anytime soon.

The AL East will be the division to watch in the American League. The American League is the weaker division in the MLB.  The AL east will definitely be the strongest division in the American League. The Yankees are the preseason favorite to win the division especially because they made it to the NLCS and lost to the Astros in that series. They have also added some superstars to their roster that can only make them better. The Rays are my pick for second in the division they did very well last year and they didn’t lose any key players, so I expect them to be even better this year. The Red Sox have taken two big hits losing Mookie Betts and David price. Betts being a key contributor to the Sox success last season. I expect the Red Sox to still be able to stay above 500 this season and still be a team to watch. The Blue Jays and their rising star Vlad Guerrero should be on the rise this season and should just keep getting better. The Orioles lost 108 games last season, they are in a huge rebuilding stage right now and are focusing on pitching in the next few years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Dodgers and the Yankees in the World Series. They are two teams that will be really hard to beat because they are both all around solid teams. If it came down to that I would have to go with the Yankees, the Dodgers haven’t performed very well in the playoffs in the past unless they can turn something around this season.
